The 9/11 Memorial located at the center of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum is a gathering place like no other to remember the victims, the families, and survivors of 23 years ago. This coin was created in honor of those innocent lives and the bravery of those who remain. The front of the coin features a 3D recessed image of the twin towers over a waving flag background with outer text "The American Spirit Will Always Prevail." The back of the coin is from the perspective of one of the infinity pools of the 9/11 Memorial looking over Manhattan. Translucent enamel is used to replicate the sparkling water. The outer text mimics the museums theme of never forget "No day shall erase you from the memory of time."
