    On November 12, 2025 the U.S. mint stamped the last penny for production in the United States. This coin acts as a tribute to the last cent. The front of the coin features a copper plated penny design (not a real penny) on top of a marked gravestone with commemorative text "The Final Cent Tribute" and "1793-2025 Commemorative Edition" The back of the coin has a raised bust of Lincoln frowning with text "The Last Penny" and "Final Issue - Philadelphia"
